In Jewish tradition, the Parable of the Prodigal Son is known as the story of "The Chasing Father." This title and the subsequent context can give us an alternative perspective on this familiar teaching of Jesus.

Some of us relate with the rebellion of the prodigal son and some of us relate with the religious attitude of the older brother. Still others can relate to both brothers at various stages of our lives. No matter who we relate to or why, it is important to realize that we are all chased by a heavenly Father who wants a relationship with us.
